Thank God it's December.

So yes...November was the month of crazy apparently. Here I thought moving was going to be the only thing on my plate, but no. Not only was work insane, I also decided that I needed a good dose of self-inflicted stress and took part in NaNoWriMo (you write a 50000 word novel in November). And it ate what little remained of my life.
I suppose it wouldn't have been so bad if I had started at the beginning of November, instead of like, a week late. But no, that would have been too easy. So instead I just put everything else on hold and wrote like a madwoman.
And I finished! Yay!
Although it was at times stressful, I guess NaNoWriMo was good - it got me writing again, and I know I'll continue with that. And it helped me be less conscious of what I'm writing and to just get in the zone for that first draft. There were times - including the last night - where I really didn't think I could do it. In fact I almost quit on November 30th with only 2000 words left to go. But I didn't and I managed to finish with exactly 10 minutes to spare.

But despite all that uplifting stuff - TGID. I'm enjoying the chance to relax again, and I wanted to draw all November but just didn't have a chance. And now I do - hooray! I need to get to work on some Christmas presents, ASAP. Plus...there are video games calling my name and books I still want to read and Christmas shopping to do!
